Educational Goals

With DeskCAT™ teaching medical imaging has never been easier. Real-time acquisition, reconstruction and display of radiographs and computed tomography enables dynamic classroom demonstration. Each scanner comes with 3 unique core labs and there are 6 additional labs for purchase. Each lab is designed to help students learn and understand medical imaging, both in theory and application.

The learning objectives for the DeskCAT™ experimental modules are compatible with requirements set forth by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs. The imaging studies were developed in close consultation with educators at the University of Western Ontario. This university offers a CAMPEP-accredited program in Medical Biophysics.

Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs Inc. (CAMPEP) is a nonprofit organization whose objectives are the review and accreditation of educational programs in medical physics. The accreditation process involves giving a self-assessment report that shows how your program is meeting the requirements set by CAMPEP.

More information on CAMPEP and the process of accreditation can be found on their website at: www.campep.org
